Our Commitment
Aviation Safety
At MAG JET, safety is not a checkbox — it is the foundation of every decision we make, every operator we work with, and every flight we arrange.
Safety Above All Else
Private aviation offers unmatched convenience and comfort, but those benefits mean nothing without an unwavering safety standard. MAG JET holds every operator, aircraft, and crew member we work with to rigorous criteria that go beyond FAA minimums.
Whether you are booking a one-time charter flight or enrolling your aircraft in our management program, you can expect the same disciplined approach to risk management, maintenance oversight, and crew qualification at every step.
"We will not arrange a flight we would not put our own family on. That standard drives every vendor evaluation, every aircraft inspection, and every operator relationship we maintain."
MAG JET Operations Team
Our Safety Framework
Every aspect of our operations is governed by a multi-layer safety framework designed to identify and mitigate risk before it reaches the flight deck.
Operator Vetting
We work exclusively with FAA Part 135-certificated air carriers and thoroughly vet each operator's safety record, audit history, and operational culture before placing a single client on board. Operators with outstanding violations, poor audit scores, or inadequate safety management practices are not approved for our network.
Crew Qualification Standards
We require pilots operating our charter flights to exceed FAA minimums for total flight hours, type ratings, and recurrent training. Captain-in-command minimums, instrument currency, and simulator training schedules are reviewed as part of our operator approval process.
Aircraft Maintenance
All aircraft in our charter network must be maintained in compliance with their FAA-approved maintenance programs. We verify current airworthiness directives, service bulletin compliance, and maintenance tracking documentation. Aircraft operating under our management program receive additional oversight through our in-house maintenance coordination team.
Weather & Route Analysis
Every flight brief includes a comprehensive weather analysis, NOTAMs review, and alternate airport planning. Our operations team is available around the clock to assess developing weather situations and coordinate route changes or ground delays to protect passengers and crew.
Safety Management Systems
We encourage and prioritize operators who have implemented formal Safety Management Systems (SMS) consistent with ICAO standards. An SMS culture — built on proactive hazard identification, non-punitive reporting, and continuous improvement — is a strong indicator of an operator's long-term safety posture.
Third-Party Audit Preference
We give strong preference to operators who hold safety ratings from independent auditing bodies including ARGUS International and Wyvern Consulting. These voluntary programs signal an operator's commitment to accountability and transparent safety performance beyond regulatory compliance.
Managed Aircraft Oversight
For owners who place their aircraft in our management program, we serve as the day-to-day guardian of airworthiness and operational compliance. Our management team coordinates all scheduled inspections, tracks airworthiness directives, monitors pilot currency, and ensures your aircraft is always maintained to the standard you expect — and that the FAA requires.
We provide owners with full transparency into their aircraft's maintenance status, squawk tracking, and utilization records through regular reporting. You will never be surprised by deferred maintenance or lapsed documentation.
If your aircraft is placed on a Part 135 certificate through our program, it is subject to all applicable air carrier oversight requirements, including additional pilot training minimums, maintenance inspections, and operational control procedures that exceed private (Part 91) standards.
Aircraft Acquisition Due Diligence
When we assist clients in acquiring an aircraft, safety and airworthiness are central to the evaluation process. We strongly recommend — and facilitate — pre-purchase inspections by independent, qualified aircraft maintenance facilities. These inspections uncover deferred maintenance, undisclosed damage history, and documentation gaps that can affect both airworthiness and resale value.
Our brokerage team reviews maintenance logbooks, airframe and engine times, accident and incident records, and lien searches on every aircraft we help clients consider. Transparency in the acquisition process protects your investment and ensures the aircraft you purchase is what it represents itself to be.
